My true passion is transparent watercolor. I love the unpredictable results of mixing pigments on paper. I love color, lots of it. However the subject matter for me can vary from my favorite florals, to landscapes, old buildings, old vehicles, people and animals. They say ‘paint what you love’; I love contrasts of color, value, textures and shapes! Minnesota is my native state, but have thoroughly enjoyed living in the Rogue Valley of Oregon since 1973.

In 1995 I was accepted into the Watercolor Society of Oregon and am presently have achieved Diamond member status. I attained signature membership in California Watercolor Association, Northwest Watercolor Society, Western Federation of Watercolor Societies, WaterColor West, Watercolor Society of Oregon, and Montana Watercolor Society. I have been honored with award winning paintings in State, National and international shows.

Hope to Carry On

Spring is in the air! The season of flowers in bloom! Orchids, Irises, Dancing Daffodils all tell the story of spring. This exhibit hangs at Art and Soul Ashland - 247 East Main Street, Ashland, Oregon, the next three months.

You can purchase Original transparent watercolor paintings, Gicl’ee reproductions, and Greeting cards.

Originals are available framed and unframed. Some of the frames are wood, the rest are anodized aluminum in a color chosen by the artist. Frames and matting are included at no additional cost.

Gicl’ee - pronounced zhee-clay - is a French term used to describe a printing process. Literally translated it is “a spray of ink”. This process is accomplished by a state of the art digital color printer capable of producing virtual high resolution color prints of unsurpassed quality and accuracy suitable for museum or gallery exhibitions. This spraying of ink is done on archival papers with archival inks and dyes.

Each order is made to order and can take up to 3 weeks to ship. Reproductions are available in five sizes, original size and two sizes larger and two smaller. They are signed by the artist and shipped rolled.

My collectible greeting cards are also archival Gicl’ee reproductions. The color of the envelope is chosen to compliment the art. The matte paper creates deep rich blacks.
